Registration for Summer 2018 Now Open
Cultural Leadership is looking for rising 8th-10th grade students (and 11th grade with permission) to participate in Camp Cultural Leadership. Camp Cultural Leadership is a condensed, age appropriate version of our award-winning high school program. Our camp program increases cultural awareness through hands-on activities, develops leadership skills, and fosters a passion for social justice. During the camp session, students will take an overnight trip to either Memphis or Chicago designed to complement the camp curriculum. During this trip, campers will visit people and places relevant to social justice and democracy.
Camp Cultural Leadership is a perfect opportunity for students who want a taste of our high school program's curriculum. In fact, 40% of Camp Cultural Leadership participants go onto be part of our prestigious high school program!
Camp Cultural Leadership offers two sessions. The two-week session (July 9-20) will include the overnight trip to either Memphis or Chicago. The three-week session will include this overnight trip, as well as a local, overnight retreat that takes place during the third week.
Camp Registration Fees:
$650 for the two-week session
$900 for the three-week session
*(fees include the overnight trip tp Memphis/Chicago for both sessions, as well as the overnight retreat, for the three-week session)

Before and After care from 8:30am-5:00pm is offered for a lump sum of $100 for the two-week session, and $150 for the three-week session.
Camp Sessions and Details
Camp Session Dates and Ages Eligible
The 3-Week Session for rising 8th- and 9th-grade students will be July 9-27, 2018. Registration is now open.
Camp Costs and Financial Aid
Program fees vary based on the date of payment of the $100 non-refundable deposit per child. This deposit must be received in order to lock in rates.
Balance paid in full is required before the start of camp. However, full payment at the time of application is greatly appreciated. A limited amount of Financial Aid is available (see Financial Aid form, above), and students are encouraged to raise their program fee through fundraising. The 2018 cost structure is shown below:
- $900 if paid before March 30, 2018
- $1000 if paid before April 30, 2018
- $1100 if paid before June 1, 2018
- $1250 if paid on or after June 1, 2018
Full refunds (less $100 deposit) will be granted before June 1, 2018. Withdrawals after June 1, 2018 incur full tuition charges for the session. Exceptions to the payment policy will be granted for medical reasons.
Before and After Care
Before Care (8:30 to 9:30 am) and After Care (3:15 to 5:00 pm) services are available for an additional cost per child of $150 for the 3-week session. Note that this $150 fee includes BOTH before and after care.
Information and Recruitment Sessions
You, your friends, family, and other "troublemakers" are invited to attend our information and recruitment sessions. At each info session, there will be staff, and alumni you can talk to about Camp Cultural Leadership, and well as Cultural Leadership's yearlong program.
Location: The Jewish Community Center, 2 Millstone Campus Dr., St. Louis, MO 63146. The session will be held in the Beit Midrash room.
Date/Time: Thursday, April 19 from 6-7:30pm
